Jolly Ole Saint Nick was filling his sleigh with wonderful gifts for all the good little boys and girls, when he realized that he had forgotten the most important gift of all. He had not gotten Mrs Claus the one and only item that she had asked for.
Now, he knew it wouldn’t be easy because Mrs Claus was not known for settling, instead she was precise and always knew exactly what she wanted and this year it was one of those new Occasional Dining Tables and Chairs. It would have to be the way she wanted or it would not due. The table must have red legs (her favorite color) and a cream top. The chairs were to be special too, each was to be painted differently, one red, one green one cream and how about one black. She had talked about this new set for months and now he had forgotten.
So, before another reindeer could snort a snort or tap a hoof he was off to Palmetto Furniture, in Society Hill, South Carolina to see if they could help with that special gift.
Sure enough Wilton was all about helping Santa out. “I know just the folks to pull this off, Leisters Furniture, can get it exactly the way Mrs Claus wants and we will have time to spare.
The lights flickered as the elves in the Leisters Plant worked and worked. They knew this was a special order, almost as special as the last six they had just completed. Without a flinch they worked their magic and the Beautiful Occasional Dining collection that was so important was now being loaded on Santa’s sleigh ready for delivery.

I'm amazed at the number of programs on HGTV and DIY that once again show us, the manufacturers, the direction the consumers are taking. The days of Designers coming in doing their own thing is over. Today we the consumer are very much hands on, wanting things our way. Perhaps taking directions and being guided by the pros, but we know what we want.
We are being drawn to a look, to a style and then want to put our own spin on it, creating our space, our Home.

The selected item is slightly distressed,has had the edges wrasped and hand rubbed with an antiquing glaze. The end result is a beautiful aged piece of furniture.
